Visit by Speaker to Levuka timely

The beginning of any school term is not always easy for students but the presentation today by the Speaker of Parliament has motivated and inspired them for this important term.
Those were the words of Vice Principal, Mr Jone Loga after the Meet the Speaker programme at St Johns College in Levuka this morning, Tuesday 29th August, 2017.
“Today is the beginning of the term for our students and I believe the talk was motivational and inspiring for our students.”
“Speaker shared about her experiences in life and the challenges she faced that enabled her to reach where she is today.
“She also stressed the values of hard work in order to achieve greater things in life and I believe the students are lucky to have the Speaker in school today,” Mr Loga said.
School headgirl Maria Wainibu said the presentation by the Speaker has inspired her to make  wise decisions and to be confident.
Speaker Hon. Dr Jiko Luveni explained about her role and the functions of Parliament. She encouraged the students to study hard and to make right decisions in life. The students also took time to ask questions to the Speaker.
