Advisory – Official Opening of Parliament by His Excellency the President

Parliament will be officially opened by His Excellency the President Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere on Friday, 3 February 2023 at 10.00am.

Members of the public are kindly advised that access to the Parliament Complex will be by invitation ONLY on the above date.

The subsequent sitting week for the responses to His Excellency’s Address by the Honourable Members of Parliament will take place from Monday, 13 February to Friday, 17 February. During this sitting week, access to the Parliament Complex will be open to anyone and upon availability of seating in the public gallery.

Media personnel are kindly requested to send only two persons per media organisation.

The Parliament sittings will be aired live on the Parliament website – www.parliamentlive.gov.fj, Parliament Facebook page, Parliament Channel on the Walesi platform, FBC TV and Fiji One.
