RE-ADVERTISEMENT – INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

In line with the provisions outlined in the Parliamentary Remunerations Act 2014, Parliament has established the Emoluments Committee (‘Committee’) to review the salaries and allowances of Members of Parliament as provided for under the Parliamentary Remunerations Act 2014, and the Emoluments Committee must report back to Parliament.

The Committee invites Expressions of Interest from interested persons/consultants/organisations to provide the following information together with their written submissions for the Committee to view and consider –

(i) Proven capability in providing job evaluation analysis and review of salaries, allowances and benefits;
(ii) Professional credentials and/or references;
(iii) Reference(s) of similar work undertaken;
(iv) Detailed costing; and
(v) Schedule of fees.

The scope of work is as follows –

(i) Conduct a market analysis of MPs’ salaries, allowances and benefits;
(ii) Provide an opinion on the new salaries, allowances and benefits;
(iii) Any other analysis required by the Committee; and
(iv) Provide a report to the Committee no later than 25 October 2023.

Parliament Office will close on the following days, for the non-essential functional units –

(a) Friday, 27 December 2024;

(b) Monday, 30 December 2024; and

(c) Tuesday, 31 December 2024.

The non-essential functional units that will be closed on those days are the Tables, Hansard, Research and Library Services, Committees, Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Protocol, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Civic Education and Media.

The essential functional units that will remain operational with the necessary/appropriate staffing arrangements are the ITC, HR, Accounts, Assets and Transport.
